I had a great experience at Colonial Inn, Franklin, NC on Friday, Feb 28, 2025. I checked in at 11 PM and departed at 11 AM on Saturday. Their rates are reasonable. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I slept well and much longer than I intended. I was driving from Columbia, SC to Nashville, TN and needed a hotel for just one night. I've stayed there previously prior to the current owners who have updated the hotel. Vick, the new owner, is a gracious, caring host. Everything was very clean and well kept. Once again, I want to highlight the excellent mattress. My ancestors settled in this beautiful area around Franklin, NC (Macon County) in the late 1700s, and my father was born and grew up there, so driving through is always a special treat. Colonial Inn will continue to be my hotel of choice.

Vic, the owner was very hospitable. We were close to all that we needed to be! The beds were very comfortable, shower was great.

Motel was OK clean Service was friendly older Motel no swimming pool. Breakfast was bagels two brands of cereal, milk, orange juice, coffee. We paid 106 total king size bed non-smoking a little pricey more like $75 room. Enjoying America one town at a time. FB

Very clean - kind owner - great location. Loved the chairs out in front of every room. Coffee in the morning was good, as were the simple breakfast items for the taking (banana bread, muffins, cereal). Comfortable bed, super effective blackout curtains, perfect A/C. Love the mural on the side of the building! Fire pit out front - we didn't use it but they provide firewood and it looks cozy.

The Colonial Inn isn't a high dollar hotel, but they certainly do their best to provide guests with a good stay. The rooms, as noted by other reviews, were truly very clean. While the room wasn't super "updated"--it had decent vinyl wood floors, a WiFi repeater beacon on our ceiling, decent internet. The property has a good view of the mountains and it was really quiet. No trouble from our neighbors. Lil breakfast bar looked fine, but the coffee maker was out (no biggie and I'm sure not a regular thing). We had an unexpectedly snowy and frigid day coming into town yesterday, but this place was a welcomed and warm bargain. The sweet woman at the front desk was clearly having an overloaded day due to the unforseen weather and some issues that were solved by the time we arrived. I don't fault her for it--but check-in did take a reallyyyy long time as a result. Otherwise, 10/10 will recommend this place to folks who travel up here.

I’ve stayed here on two occasions. Both times the staff has been super friendly. The bed is very comfortable, the room has been very clean and the water nice and hot. The area is nice and quiet.

I had a wonderful stay at this motel. The service was excellent from the moment I arrived. The staff were very nice, friendly, and welcoming, and they were always happy to help with anything I needed. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making my stay very relaxing. I really appreciated the great hospitality and positive atmosphere. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit so enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a comfortable place with outstanding customer service.
